The Ortovox Free Rider 22 men's snowboard/ski backpack is ideal for freeride and backcountry adventures. With space for storing essentials and the facility to carry skis or a snowboard, snowshoes, ice axe, helmets and poles on the exterior.

Ortovox's own CLASP FLEX BELT provides optimal control on every descent in addition to reliable support, the technology means the pack fits to your back like a second skin. Soft back pads, hug the back without restricting freedom of movement allowing you to ride longer for longer.

Internally the pack can be fitted with the CLASP SPINE PROTECTOR, this optional extra turns the standard Free Rider Pack into a motorcycle standard back protector. A dedicated inner pocket of the pack ensures the correct fit for the extra.

As part of Ortovox's environmental commitment, the pack is PFC-free and constructed from recycled polyester making the unit climate natural. Ride on knowing the construction of your bag hasn't caused any necessary harm to the environment.

Ride more comfortably for longer. The Free Rider pack can be optimally adjusted on the go. Integrated side straps allow you to cinch down the carrying load to restrict pack movement on the upper back. Should you need to descend down a steep couloir or abseil into a gully, the pack has the ability to carry skis, axes, rope and not to mention includes the helmet net. For safety, a classic avalanche safety pocket allows for the organisation of life-saving essentials while an emergency card is also included for such situations. Hydration is key in the mountains and consequently, the Free Rider is hydration system compatible - while the hydration reservoirs are sold separately.

Considered to be a compact freeriding backpack the Free Rider provides ample space for climbing skins, and crampons allowing you to have versatility on the mountain. All personal items can be accessed through the use of the front or rear access zipper so you can layer up on any terrain.
