The snowpark at Mürren-Schilthorn in Switzerland is being renamed as the 'Pända Snowpark'.
The existing snowpark has been in place for 10 years, establishing itself as a freestyle destination. That has been helped by the resort hosting unique events such as the Swatch Nines.
Pända Freestyle Ltd, who will run the park, are also opening an indoor venue in the valley called the 'Pända freestyle hall'.
"We are delighted to be able to offer an excellent snow park, a new freestyle hall and an extensive range of courses from next year," said Jonas Hunziker, co-founder of Pända Freestyle Ltd.
The car-free resorts of Gimmelwald and Mürren are connected to the Lauterbrunnen valley from Stechelberg. Visitors can then continue via the Birg station to the summit of Schilthorn at 2970m.
With stunning views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the Schilthorn top station is probably most famous for its role as Blofeld's base in the 1968 James Bond movie 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'. There is a museum dedicated to 007 that is 'licensed to thrill'
