Some of you that have "followed" Trencher's many wise comments, will note that he has changed his pict on his messages.

His active lifestyle now includes whitewater kyaking!

Hope to see you in some competitions !

Pavel

PS

Well, it was new twenty years ago.

Now I have trouble getting over the snowsport withdrawl symptoms at the end of winter. There was a time when I would be kayaking in February, dodging chunks of ice while surfing on waves. I wait till it warms up these days and make the most of the snow while it's here.

Coming from England, where the white water season is in the winter, it was great to paddle rapids in the summer for a change. The last few years though, the rivers have been low through lack of summer storms and the winters have been milder. So my sports are under real threat from global warming.

PS Pav, How did the op go?

I should really take up windsurfing for the summer months. I live in one of the best places in the world for it and even the sailing for the 2012 olympics is being held in my own town - but cold I can deal with - wet and cold I'm not so sure.

I think I'll stick to doing countless runs at the local dry slope which incidently has helped me improve my skiing a massive amount in the last few weeks.

Strange how persons from various nations , cultures and religions can be united by common interests.

Have you noticed how skiers also "gravitate" to common activities.

I can only tell you that I am more of a windsurfing fanatic and white water sport fanatic. Speed and freedom seem to be the two elements I love!

As far as operation, must go back tomorrow for "other eye" ( I am typing with one eye so please forgive errors).
