Glenshee is 'UK’s Best Ski Resort'

Iainm posted 30-Nov

Glenshee is the UK's best ski resort, according to a new study by Blacks Outdoors.

The study looked at factors such as the total length of slopes, the annual opening days and the cost of an adult day pass to create a 'Ski Resort Score'.

They rated Glenshee as the UK's best ski resort, taking first place with a very precise overall score of 9.61 out of 10.

Located in the Southern end of the Cairngorms National Park, Glenshee is the largest ski resort in the UK with 40km of ski slopes and 21 lifts.

Tied for second place were Glencoe Mountain and The Lecht, also both in Scotland.

The highest indoor slope on the list was The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead, which shared 6th place with the outdoor dry slope at Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre.

Midlothian Ski Centre near Edinburgh was included in 10th place. Possibly this will move up the rankings after the planned redevelopment.
