Japan snow season

Hey all is anyone skiing or boarding in Japan yet ? Thinking of heading up there next week from New Zealand .

Don't think there's anywhere really open this season yet? Just a short run made with an all-weather snowmaking machine below Mt Fuji? ( facebook.com/YetiSnowtown ) Another month until most places open with some snow on high peaks but not much so far I thought, but maybe I am missing something and enough for some high touring?

Hey, what's the situation at Myoko? Thinking of an early start on 20 Dec but long term forecast seems to suggest little snow and temperatures in the low teens!
