Can anyone recommend a resort & ski school that is good for a 2.5 year old to get their first taste of skiing please? Italy preferred but will look elsewhere for the right venue.
Thanks

From experience La Rosiere is a great family friendly resort with accommodation close to a gentle beginners area but for sheer experience, things to do and child friendliness I cannot recommend the Galtenburg hotel in Alpbach, Austria enough (https://www.galtenberg.at/). Limited but perfectly good nursery area, relatively low altitude (I wouldn't necessarily take a toddler to stay at very high altitude if you want peaceful nights!), sunny area and good staff. The hotel is completely geared up for kids with a pool including an indoor splash park for the little ones, nursery + a load of other child friendly touches. Good for adults too with a great bar/restaurant, great food and a spa to use if you can find the time! (I don't work for them or have any connection apart from visiting last year!)
We've made holidays fun for our 2 since they were very little but the experience off the piste is what they remember most (of course now my 10 year old is asking how good the jump parks are going to be in January but that's a different story!)
Enjoy!
