Hi,

We're off boarding to Courmayeur this weekend for a week - just wondering the best policy for getting lift passes.

First of all - are all the prices the same, or are there cheaper ways of getting the passes?

Secondly, a lot of people have written that you can cover the Courmayeur area fairly quickly and will want to explore the surrounding areas. Chamonix is high on our list of places to visit.

Anyone have any experience of the best way to split up the week - both in terms of cost and experience!

Cheers,
Pete

Been going to Courmayeur for 4 years now. Our package provides the lift passes inclusive to our deal. One thing I would say is that they are the electronic type, so if you lose it it costs a lot to replace.

You may outgrow Courmayeur pretty quick. We find going to La Thuile justup the road a good move. You can then ski down into the French system (take some money for a French Ski pass to get back up to Italy!). Certainly worth a day out.

Have fun! Looks like snow on the way...

You might wnat to try the nearby ski area of Monterosa which is great for boarders and is 2.5 times the size of Courmayeur. Aim for the resort of Cahmpoluc which is the closest to Courmayeur.
