hi,
Anyone got any recommendations for a short break 17-20th jan, not too far from Geneva inc transfers and pref catered chalet.Though one not costing a fortune or do they exist?

not sure you'll get this as a package...so likely ad hoc imv.
St Foy have chalets that miggt do ad hoc at last minute...but youd have to get to BSM by transfer at least.
in quite times in resort, you might pick up chalet rooms but again, last min.
my pick would be, gva, hire car with winter tyres, drive to anniviers in Switzerland..2 hrs.
book hotel in grimentz.

Wouldn't have thought you'd get catered chalet for anything other than a week. I would have thought that a hotel would be a more likely option. Plenty of places close to GVA. Depends what skiing you like

Mountain Sun do variable-length chalet breaks. Tignes might be their nearest one to Geneva. Worth checking them out.
