Ski Georgia in 2020

J2SkiNews posted Aug-2019

Among the usual list of more predictable new-destination choices being offered by tour-operators for the upcoming 2019-20 ski season, a less well-known option on the far eastern fringes of Europe has popped up.

British ski holiday company Mountain Heaven (mountainheaven.co.uk), who are best known for their apartment and chalet holidays in the Alps, but who also have experience of organising several highly successful ski trips to Iran in recent years, will organise a trip to Georgia in 2020.

The trip will combine skiing with experiencing some of the culture, food and wine of Georgia. The trip, from March 13-22, will include a stay in the country's capital, Tbilisi – fast becoming a hot spot destination for foodie city breaks, with its hipster bars and great value restaurants before hitting the slopes of the country's leading ski area, Gudauri.

The price is still to be confirmed at time of writing but is expected to be around £1,500 per person, including 5 days skiing and 3 days sightseeing. Return flights cost extra, at around £300 per person.
