Professional free skier Warren Smith has opened a clinic on Harley Street, Central London, offering skiers the chance to get an assessment of their abilities and advice on how to improve their skiing performance through analysis of their body structure and position.
A session at the clinic will begin with an assessment of skiing technique and then a bespoke programme designed to enhance performance and reduce risk of injury.
The assessment will measure ski leg flex pattern, skier symmetry and increased leg-steering range. In other words, improving techniques and fitness off the snow will mean more confidence and better methods when returning to the mountains. Packages include assessment and off snow courses.
Warren Smith runs his own Academy which has offered ski technique instruction all over the world, and operates in the summer months on the glacier slopes above Cervinia and Zermatt. Warren has also toured British ski shops and dry slopes as well as presenting at the London Ski Show on his methods of assessing and improving technique and reducing the risk of injury.
His new clinic welcomes everyone willing to learn a bit more about skiing. Courses are tailored towards everyone's level, from intermediate skiers wishing to progress to advanced and for strong skiers looking to take their instructors exams and performance training for competition (alpine racing, freeride or freestyle).
