We have always gone with a tour operator whe we fly, mainly because it's been very convenient. Ie..if the flights delayed they will still pick you up and get you to resort. I have experienced a closed car hire company previously. Anyways, we have also always taken the ski hire and lift pass with the t.o too. However looking today with a company that we have used several times before and I compared prices..their lift pass is €296 ....resort price €250 and the ski hire looks much cheaper too. Has this always been the case? Pretty sure I have looked in the past and it wasn't that different. Looking at Cervinia 30th December from Bournemouth hopefully if I can persuade hubby. Advice, tips.

It depends which tour operator you have been going with..There are always discounts available for ski /boot hire and the lift pass is usually the same from the tour operator ..unless the tour operator has hedged his funds at the wrong time. As to Cervinia it is an easy place to get to and as I remember there is a train from Turin..you have to do your research ..try https://www.rome2rio.com/ ..I stopped using tour ops ages ago ..
