I have just returned from a short trip to Tignes as advertised by Admin earlier this month. I find it hard to believe that only 17 people in the whole of the UK took up this offer. It was epic. The trip was great and the TO and Club Med surpassed all my expectations and my wife (who is a non skier and warm weather monster) said it was the best short break she has EVER been on (and she has been on quite a few!! :) ). She even tried skiing in between swimming, sauna, steam room and the odd walk and fizzy pop. The guides took some of the group over to get a special view of the mens FIS race at Val D'Isere on the Saturday. The same trip this week will cost you 3 times the price!! I am posting just 2 photos of the resort and conditions as I am sure lots of you know Tignes well but a few others of something I guess that most of us ski people transiting through congested airports thought they would NEVER witness. Really this was true and NOT a dream. Grenoble airport was opened just for our flight....99 inbound and just the 17 of us returning to Gatwick. There were more staff than customers. We also had our own A320 plus crew for our homeward journey. I shall be keeping an eye out for a similar trip next season.
Carving leaves me all on edge

Looks great. I am fully intending to take advantage of deals like this in the future. Youngest BB is 2 years away from University and then myself and Mrs BB are free!! We also run our own business so, within reason, can set up auto-responses on our emails and then leg it.
slippy slidey snow......me likey!

Sounds like a great trip. Would've jumped at it, given the chance. I've got a few more years to wait than Bedrock, but not that many.

Hi Bald Eagleman, I'm delighted you enjoyed our "early season ski trip" to Tignes. This was an exclusive trip arranged by Ski Line, we used Club Med's first flight of the season to bring you home on, hence why it was empty. It's wonderful of you to so publicly declare its success, thank you!
I have wanted to arrange this trip for the past few years but sadly the lack of good early snow prevented it. So when the snow started to fall in November this year I knew we had to make it happen this year! If the snow falls in time again next year we will definitely do it again. I hope you and some of the other forum users will join us.
If you liked our early season trip you will love our end of season ski trip so far over 190 skiers and boarders have booked to join us to Club Med's flag ship hotel in Val Thorens on the 23rd April for 4 nights. The trip is selling at £499, its basically the same deal as our Tignes trip last week.
We have just manged to secure another 78 flights from Manchester and still have 80 or so from Gatwick available, but what we are not sure is how many more beds we get in the hotel, so if you want to join us, you'd better book soon!
We do have in mind arranging a "special trip for J2ski" users, admin know about this! Come on Dave, let's do it! Please respond to this post if you think it's a good idea!

Hi lli pika, We are talking about a trip towards the end of the season, if its on, you wont miss it on this site. If I get my way, it will be with Club Med again in which case all levels of skiers are welcomne as we will have up to 5 different levels from beginner to serious off piste skiers.
