Hi,
i'm thinking going to VT on april 16 and i'm wondering what the conditions can be. I know that you can't predict weather but maybe you can tell how it was on other seasons. I've never been in spring skiing.
also i'm thinking staying in VT or Orelle. Orelle is cheaper but i haven't been there so i don't know much about it and especially in april.
So it not to late to ski in april 16 and where to go VT or Orelle?

Snow levels in Val Thorens in April are usually 2m+...

...from our Val Thorens Snow History page...

So no worries there. If it's a warm April you'll probably have to download to Orelle on the lift, but you'll pay less to stay there and may prefer it. It will be quiet and feel like Spring in Orelle (we looked into going there last Easter but ended up in Italy instead...).

But Val Thorens will very likely have lots of snow in April.

April conditions will largely depend on what happens in January as the snow to ski on in April has to come from somewhere first. It usually does arrive eventually, but I am more confident about April skiing when it snows in December.
