Flying out to Tonale on 27th Jan. Anyone just got back and able to give me some first hand info on the snow conditions there? I'm beginning to panic a bit now.

Thanks

Alison

We are going too on the 27th but I have heard that about 50cm of snow is due next week so should be good conditions if it has stopped snowing again for when we arrive! We haven't been therebefore so are r eally looking forward to it- first holiday in 16years WITHOUT the kids!

The Snow Forecast for Passo Tonale is looking pretty good for next week - exact quantities are a guess, with wind and compaction taking their toll, but it should be a good covering.

Just got back from PT. Snow this week was ok but getting a bit borderline towards the end of the week. There is *nothing* off piste atm but the pistes should be ok if it's cold enough to run the snow cannons. It wasn't after Thursday this week so it's pretty bad this weekend. If there really is going to be a big dump on Tues (and the locals are pretty sceptical) it should be fine, but that's a big but the the moment.

However - we enjoyed the resort loads and in better snow conditions (i.e. any other year) it's got to be abso-bloody-lutely fantastic! :D
