I am going to Verbier for the first time in February on a mogul course with the Warren Smith Ski Academy. Been having a look for hotel accommodation there and I am amazed. I know that skiing anywhere is not cheap but Verbier seems off of the scale, but hopefully I am missing something. I have been quoted £170 per night for B&B and that is sharing with someone else. It has been suggested I stay in La Chable which would be fine but thus far have not been able to find much in the way of accommodation there and cannot find the tourist office.

In short: I need a single room for a week from 1st March preferably in a hotel with half board. Don't need luxury as long as it is clean, warm and plenty of hot water. Would consider a chalet as long a have my own room and facilities.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me the details of the tourist office in La Chabre please?

Did you ask the guys at The Academy? They used to have arrangements with at least one chalet operator (Peak Ski?) and they're a helpful bunch.

If your dates hit half-term you'll struggle with any sensible budget in Verbier TBH, but Booking.Com lists a few places that might suit in both Verbier and Le Chable.

Verbier Tourist Office is at http://www.verbier.ch/ and they should be able to advise (on both towns).

One option may be to stay in La Tzoumaz and hire a studio, provided you can get over on the gondola in time for the start of your course. But you'd have come back by the last télécabine (around 16:15 ..) But I'm not sure if the Academy does stuff in the evening? Below is an example, at CHF 560-790 a week.

Contact the La Tzoumaz Tourist Office if this looks like an option for you

Having done a course ask Warren Smith for recommendations they also have relationship with Inghams, we didn't stayed slightly out of town with Powder White, the bus service is excellent and you will be able to get to the meeting point in plenty of time we were at Savoleyres.

Inghams are no in Verbier.
La Tzoumaz is too far away to get to and from the course.
Some of Warren's guys stay with a Lady called Jo, its a chalet in Verbier, ask Warrens for her contact details.
£170 a night for a hotel room oouch but welcome to Verbier.
There are B&B's in Verbier village, and in Le Chable.

I stayed at Chalet Hotel De Verbier with Inghams a few seasons ago.
Good central location opposite "Le Farinet" top apres ski venue! Reasonable prices for Verbier.
Not sure if they've got single rooms. Otherwise recommended.
