[b]St Wolfgang advice for first timer[/b]

I'm off skiing for the first time on the 27th Jan to the St Wolfgang resort staying at the Cortisen am see and was wondering:
1 - What the area is like and what I should see?
2 - What the skiing is like for beginners?
3 - What I should take with me for skiing?
4 - Any nice places to eat and drink?

Any other useful comments of pointers to other web pages would also be must appreciated
