If you can get along to the Fulham Road tomorrow evening, this might be of interest...

Graham and Craig will start with a short introduction on how to get fit for ski and help avoid injury, and answer any questions from the audience.

This will be followed by an interactive circuit including use of the Skier Edge training tool and focusing on ski specific strength and flexibility training, followed by a stretch and warm down led by Graham.

Has anyone ever tried Skier Edge trainer; if so how was it? Am a big believer in muscle memory and can see how it would help with body separation as well as fitness.

Yes, I've got one (an S4 I think)... used it a lot for a couple of years but sadly no longer have room for it in the house. :(

I don't think there's a better machine for ski-specific fitness FWIW - couple of 15 minute sessions at even fairly light resistance and you do feel the burn in all the familiar places. It's also difficult to get a good rhythm if you don't keep your upper body stable, so it pretty much forces upper/lower separation. Not cheap but well-built and effective.

(blatant plug - offers welcome for mine, but it needs the belts replacing...)
