Soll or Innsbruck

Hey, wondering if anyone has any advice over whether my friends and I should head to Soll or Innsbruck for a few days skiing over the new year, we'll be arriving from Munich and are intermediate / beginner skiers, with one boarder too. its a bit last minute so the range of accommodation is far better if we go to Innsbruck, although we have a potential place lined up in soll too. Just comes down to a decision on which one now....all advice appreciated! :)

ps haven't been to Austria before so no idea where has the better runs, set-up apres ski, etc...

If you are flying into Munich, (which I do every year), you have a range of ski options. However, before you reach the Innsbruck area, you will have passed many other ski areas, including Kitzbuhel, the Wildschönau, Alpbachtal, the Zillertal.

Regarding the Schiwelt area, including Söll, if you email the tourist office with your requirements, they send this out to the whole area, and you will get hotel offers made directly to you.
We did this a few years back, and had a New Year dbb offer in Scheffau at €45/night. Now is €55/night.

managed to find two potential places, one in soll and the other in Niederau, and can easily get places in innsbruck, just need to make a decision now

I'm sure that New Year in Innsbruck would be great. I can personally vouch for Niederau celebrations, having spent half a dozen New Years there.

Can't speak for Niederau but Soll would be a good choice, great skiing area and the Apres is superb.

Preparing my ski holiday for austria and saw this post while I was searching for information. Solden (south of Innsbruck) is my favorit. Beautiful ski resort, and all kinds of pistes, blue, red and black. The village is nice, people gentle and good service. But I would choose for Innsbruck to fly to, or you already booked? As I come from Alicante I always fly to that airport.
