I am trying to feel grateful that my 27-year-old son is taking his old mum away for Christmas week to Val D'Isere. One flaw - I have only skied once and wasn't that good - I certainly won't be able to join all the rest of the party on the black runs!
So I've been sensible and bought him an airboard for Xmas (that I can hopefully play on somewhere gentle) and hired a car so I'm not making anyone feel guilty about deserting me. I was hoping to learn curling, but can't find anywhere close with a rink. Does anyone know where one is?
