Hi guys,
We are going to Meribel for a week over Christmas but a couple of us wanted to stay a few days later and enjoy NYE on the slopes. Does anyone have any advice on how to find accommodation for three days? Surely this must be possible but we can't find anywhere that isn't a) booked up/not taking reservations until last minute, or b) just way too expensive and out of our price range/only taking week long bookings.
Any advice or tips would be fantastic and much appreciated, we are first timers!
Thank you,
Conrad
Any advice on finding a hotel in Meribel (or nearby resorts) for NYE?

Try the La Taverne pub in Meribel. It's basic rooms above a loud bar but they do short stays on a B&B basis. If not there is a couple of places in La Tania that will do short stay too.
When in doubt?....Flat out.

You are asking for the impossible - New Year is the busiest single week of the season in ski resorts, and accommodation gets booked up months in advance. Couple that with few hotel beds in Meribel, and most accommodation only being available on a weekly basis, your only hope would be to stay down in the valley somewhere, possibly Brides, otherwise Moutiers or even further afield.
