We've been asked (via Twitter) for some advice on the ski resorts around Basel, suitable for Beginners.
Can anyone suggest a specific area?
For info, there are about 100 within a couple of hours drive - see our list of Ski Resorts near Basel.
Any advice?

We do. Twits too, occasionally...
Back on topic though...
Hot off the press; we've just revamped some of our (many) Airport-related pages and you can now sort the resorts near particular airports by their suitability for Beginners, Intermediates and Experts, and their altitude and distance from the airport.
We actually have 223 Ski Resorts within 3 hours drive of Basel!

I commend the j2ski illuminati re. the airport pages. I'm not a fan of transfers and it's a great resource for planning future trips.

Andermatt looks the closest. Pretty much any resort is suitable for beginners as long as it has couple blue runs and a bunny hill. So most choices will be good enough choices. Problems usually start for mixed ability groups, who want at least to be able to have lunch together on a mountain... But a group of beginners will be staying on the same terrain and won't have to worry about these things.
