Hi everybody
coming out to Sauze on 14th Jan.
A little concerned now that there may be not enough snow!
Are there any webcams in Sauze to check on conditions?
What are the conditions usually like in January?
Sorry to be asking what must have been asked many times already.

Hi Rich, I went to Sauze last year, there was plenty of snow. I went around January 10th.

I'm heading out to the Sauze/Sestrière area on Friday. I'm concerned about the snow and not really sure about interpreting the snow reports on the site.
Is there already enough snow on the slopes to ski and when are the lefts opening up? Does anybody have any ideas?
:?:

Hi Rich
Was in Sauze D'oulx over xmas to NYeve.
It didn't snow whilst there, and was warm!! noticing up at the top that the snow was gradually melting as the week progressed.
By mid-week in the afternoons ice patches were all over, lots of stones coming through and in places tufts of grass. Made for interesting skiing.
Some of the lifts were closed as were some pistes, but still had a brilliant time. At that time reports on various sites were 80cm top and 40cm lower level of snow.
I have read they have had some snow so that can only be good. I'm sure you'll have a brilliant time.
