Hi, I'm new to the forum and hope you can help. We've got flights booked to Geneva arriving 11th April and are skiing for 3-4 days. Where will there be lifts open, good snow for beginners/intermediates? Will it have to be Zermatt?

The whole Grand Massif will still be open, and the skiing still very good. Les Carroz has great slopes for developing intermediates and excellent tuition for beginners.

Just got back from Les Menuires - brilliant ski-in/ski-out on blue run (Armoise Apts on Interhome site) and plenty of lifts open up to 2850 metres. Bens Bus provide good transfers.

Porte du Solieu is worth a shout, but it is worth mentioning that lower pistes do get slushy at lunchtime at this time of year.

Thanks for all your help, had looked at Flaine and Les Menuires. Some friends have said the main lifts are closing 7th April - is this the case as we're going on the 11th.
