I can't compete with the Go PRO stuff that Tony has wowed us with - but has anyone got any tips for some sort of head strapholder that will hold most digital cameras?
Maybe there is no such thing?
Camera head strap?

Hold it in your hand
Asssuming, Icy, that you are behaving yourself, you do not get the shakes from any modern digital camera ~ there is inbuilt software that smooths out any vibratory effects.
On my 4 youtube vids, all are made with a digital camera, and on two, I have the camera hand held. The other two are with someone elsefilming.
The downhiller Martin Bell, who does a lot of ski video work, told me he does hand hold filming all the time.
I have two head cameras, complete with all kinds of straps and clamps, but have used neither. The switch control is more difficult. I may try next week or the week after.
Poles in one hand camera in the other, hold the camera at waist level any thing not quite right you can edit out later. Slope selection is important will struggle to film on a black but depending on your level blue and red pistes should be ok.
You get shake and movement with any camera you film with if you use imovie for your edit then it automatic reduces shake any way in my opinion
go for the natural home movie a bit of shake is ok.
Try it out before, film going to the shops in the way I explained above and even try it on the dry slope.

So no universal head strap then?
I can try holding it but then there's the risk of falling and damaging it- or me!

Thanks I'll do this but I will risk breaking it if I tumble of course.
Let us know how the head camera works out if you try it.
Cheers

My last trip in January I filmed with just normal camera, but you can only film short clips down the mountain and have to film without glove on really! You can edit I uploaded mine to YouTube and they edit camera shake really well then you can use the edited version in iMovie to re edit that's what I did I will post a small clip of mine !
