Not been to la tania but by all accounts its pretty good and you get the three valleys for a cheaper price. Les arcs is one of my fav resorts, vast skiing and something for every ability, although it does lean towards top end intermediates and above. If you have the budget arc 1950 one of the best villages in the alps,if not arc 2000 is cheaper, both ski in ski out.

I have been to both, they are both big ski areas but I preferred les arcs and you have la plagne on hand as well, another good resort to ski.
in the 3 valleys you have meribel, val thorens (high up) and courchevel (expensive) and of course down low you have la Tania. I reckon you would have fun whichever resort you pick.

I agree with GMarc, Meribel is a fantastic resort, but so is Les Arcs. I think it's hard to choose between them

Enjoyed skiing Les Arcs (and La Plagne) but wouldn't go back to Arc 1950. Whilst apartments are very pleasant, the 'village' was pretty uninspiring in the evening. Not much going on and quite artificial feeling. Wandered up to Arcs 2000 a couple of times and that was even worse!
Not sure of the other bits of the resort (1600, 1800 etc)

Depends on what things are more important to you on your holiday, both resorts have a lot going for them, but one might suit more than the other depending on what you are hoping for.

it really does depend what you want from your ski resort, I like to look small resort plenty of skiing, I steer clear of the so called big resorts !!
