Hi - looking for a catered chalet for a mixed group of kids, newbies, and intermediates in Italy for next Christmas. 8 people, sole use ideally (will consider bigger chalets)
Thx

Try arabba, selva, canazei, ortisei
Crystal or esprit ski
Or there's a few chalet hotels through the likes of inghams including a really nice one at folgarida

Duh I should have started with the obvious candidates, eh?! Yes those resorts do look interesting - have you been? What are they like in relation to Champoluc - just been, as did you recently? Cheers

Only skied sauze and champoluc in Italy.
Dolomites is a probable for next season in January. I'd go to arabba or selva definitely.
I'm only there for the skiing, there's always somewhere no matter how small to have a beer. You can drink to get drunk anywhere in the world, or shop down any hi street, so for me the resort is not of huge importance.
I want good skiing and good access to it, comfortable surroundings, reasonable prices, and some good views is a bonus.
I nearly booked folgarida last jan but ended up going to adh as we got a great deal. Otherwise I'd happily try it, linked to a decent area and madonna itself I believe. Ski in ski out with the chalet hotel.
Chalets in arabba and selva look good, and total ski or esprit ski do good food and cater for everyone well.
I wouldn't recommend crystal for their own chalets as the food has been awful on a previous attempt.
