Just thought I would do a quick sum up on the Scott Reverse skiis that I used last week.
WOW WOW WOW
I have never had a set of skiis that could rip like these did.
Before going on holiday I contacted the hire shop through a third party and they said that they would keep some all mountain skiis back for me and they have kept the best for me.
I was looking for a set of skiis that could carve a tight GS turn but have some capability off piste as well and these did exactly that and more. They are 128 - 87 - 118 at 176cm and apparently have a 15M turn radius but felt to turn a lot tighter than that.
On Piste:
Turned better than a lot of the race skiis I have had over the last few seasons. The fat centre seemed to help me get more edge angle at times I have never seen skiis so on edge. I was also teaching my kids for most of the week and they skiied backwards brilliant which is always helpful when keeping an eye on the smaller ones.
Off Piste:
Although I have been skiing for over 30 years now I am not what you would call a great off piste skiier. These skiis just floated in the deep stuff. We had over 40cms whilst in resort and by the end of the holiday I was searching for deeper snow to properly test them. Short turns were a breeze and even freeski style was easy on these. (I need to try some proper fattys to compare but felt great to me).
Before going on this trip i said I wouldn't buy skiis again but I was sorely tempted to buy these ones off them. Hope this is helpful to someone and let me know if you try them.
