Hi Guys, not going skiing this winter due to giving in and having a summer holiday in Turkey which drained to coffers  looking at La Tania next feb, never skied in France before and we maybe going with people who have not skied before or with limited ability anyway, so is it suitable ? my wife likes long gentle greens and our party like i said will be new to skiing i want a resort that we dont all have to split up from and can meet up easily is this a good choose ??

No personal experience of La Tania, but judging from the j2ski write up on the place (click on 'Resorts' at the top left of this page), it seems to tick the boxes. One place I do have experience of, and would also fit the bill, is Alpe d'Huez.

Hi Picky
Have been to La Tania many times. Stayed at the Mountain Centre with group of guys, rented an apartment for the family and 5 years ago rented an 'all in' chalet just off the piste. Lovely resort without the expence of Courcheval 'round the mountain'. A few years ago they created a lovely Green Run down the mountain, long gentle and safe--almost from the top of Chenus. If the beginners advance to Blue and get down Chenus to Courcheval 1850 there are loads of lovely Greens---or you can get the FREE bus from La Tania to 1850. La Tania also has a good irish bar---and other bars. Post me for any other info. Good Luck

Been to 3V 3 times now and still think La Tania is my favourite place to stay . I mentioned to the gang about said green run and by the end of the holiday it'll be there favourite run ,and it was. You can off piste lots of it if you want to knowing that you'll meet the piste again just the other side of the trees ...most of the time :-)

We stayed at La Tania one year but used the run down there from the top when staying at Le Praz just down from Courchevel. If I remember correctly the runs are nicely tree lined so lessons would head over there if the exposure was going to be a problem. I'd certainly go back again based on my experience if my regular cohort of ski buddies voted for it.

Hi - I have stayed in LT many times - I think it would suit your group very well. We took some beginners a few years ago. They started off on the fre nursery slope in LT then used the free bus to get to Courcheval where there are excellent beginner slopes. The green run down into LT is lovely, quie long and twisty, but you always have the option of taking the bubble down. I can highly recommend any of Skiamis's chalets in LT

La Tania would be a great choice for your party, one of my favourite resorts ever. Has everything you would want at beginner level and bigger resorts close by if you get adventurous, some long lovely green slopes above Courchavel that the newer skiers can spend all day playing on.
