I need first lessons for my 5 and 7 year old in Chatel. Where is the best place to get them, when should I book, now or when I arrive. I'm going the February half term.

Half term !!
If it were me I would book in advance, classes will be full.
No knowledge of Chatel though, sorry, are you with a tour operator and do they suggest anyone particular?

There may be a knowledgeable person along soon about Chatel specifically.

I'm not with a tour operator. Has anyone any knowledge of Chatel for lessons? But I might try to book now, but who?
Thanks

Had big trouble last year with firstly ESF who did notify me a couple of months before hand that they would not be running bronze group lessons.
I then contacted a company called "ESI" seemed British run who I booked the lessons with, turned up in Chatel at the "ESI" office only to be told they are not running the course we wanted for Little W.
They offered me private lessons but their attitude was not good it was like they was doing me a favour, so I not so politly left and crossed the road to the ESF and booked private lessons with them.

Thanks Ian for the reply. I have contacted ESI and ESF and asked about lessons. I might have to book private lessons because we are there on Friday ready to ski Saturday and group lessons do not start until Monday.

BASS (British Alpine Ski School) are brilliant - I've used them in the past in Les Gets & been very happy with them.

Shame I didn't see this last week.
We've booked our 3 year old (nearly 4) into Les Marmottons for our half term week. We stay at the camp site next door and liked the look of it when we were there 2 years ago as it looked very safe and secure with some great nursery slopes just across a pretty quiet road. Its well served by the bus as well to get there from either side. However we booked it quite a while ago. You never know, they might also have cancellations.

It'll obviously be our youngests first experience on the planks! Last time we used the Les Mouflets creche which she seemed to enjoy.
