Hi all
Can anyone give me some ideas of where is best to board in Austria in mid March, somewhere relatively easy for a beginner at snowboarding, I'm a skier myself but this will be the first time for my partner and I will be having a bash at boarding myself.
Thanks all
Steve

Just got back from Skiwelt area and can highly recommend it. You can be the judge whether you need such a big area lift pass €187/279km. Loads of blues and easy reds, very few draglifts and single seaters. 4 boarders came to Soll with us on the Crystal social skiing day and enjoyed it. Not many flat bits and those that we came across were easily negotiated if you let the board/skis carry a bit of extra speed. Definitely worth a look.

We went to Austria mid march last year and was pretty worried about it but what a blast we had. I've visited this area 6or7 times but always in jan but march was great. Loads if sun and snow. We go to ski circus. Leogang in particular. Great links to the region. You can get all over the place from leogang. We stay in self catered chalet run by an English woman called Nadia race. Chalets called sonnrain. 45 mins from Salzburg. Just got back from tignes. Great snow, boarding but I still prefer Austria. Can't speak highly enough of this area. Love it.
