Can anyone suggest any accommodation in Austria.
We've just returned from a group ski hol Söll for 4 nights over New Year and it worked brilliantly.
We can only do a shorter break rather than 7 nights hence the problem. Can anyone recommend accommodation that may take a shorter booking. There will be approx 18 of us, families.
Many thanks

Pick a resort and play with their tourist board website.
I've stayed in mayrhofen a few times booked direct through the website and they'll often take bookings in days as oppose to weeks.

Stayed in Hotel Post, Westendorf, for a 5 day break a couple of years ago, might be worth looking at if you like that area.

Pretty reasonable and a very short walk to the lift in the morning

There was a group of us in Soll over Xmas, we had a great time as usual, where did you stay ? We were in The Herold Aparts I would highly recommend.
When you find a resort you can usually just put your dates in on a google search, the accom that does shorter deals will come up.
The tourist info is also a good idea as they have all the updated info off all the accom including the private ones.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll start googling.

I did email The Herold when we got home bt fully booked already.

The Salvinstadl is the bar you are talking about. We also spent a lot of time there, are you Irish by any chance ?
We have already booked the Herold up fully for next year sorry...

Most accommodation does it best to stick to 7 day, Saturday to Saturday stays
However, as they get closer to the actual dates, the tend to become more flexible unless they are full or very close to it. But even then it may be particularly difficult to get enough space for a large group. Obviously, you will struggle during peak weeks.
You have indicated that you can only do 4 days but have not specified which days. If you can start your stay on a Saturday or least keep the trip from spanning two weeks, it will make the task easier.
These apartments in Soll are quite decent and the owners are reasonably flexible:

Apart from that, I can only suggest you look at the tourist office websites. You might want to consider whether the group would be happy to split up into a few different houses -) If you are in a reasonable compact village, it might not be too much of an inconvenience to be spread over a number of houses.
One other thing to bear in mind. As you are only going for 4 days, you may be able to get away with a smaller and therefore less busy resort.
Good luck with your search :P
