Long shot but i'm sure someone can help!!
i am planning to drive from Budapest to Austria in search of a fun weekend ski break,
I'm looking for a resort bigger and higher than Semmering...
but within 3 to 4 hours of Budapest....
Can anyone recommend anything, i'd be very grateful,

PS, any other madyars (native and non native) who would like to share lift to the mountains please let me know!!

not sure how much you'll find that far east.
we have accommodation in Dachstein, far eastern Alps.
3 hrs from Vienna.
good skiing, small resorts.
