Any recommendations for nightlife spots in and around Alpe d'Huez? Places to avoid? Thanks for the help.

Very much depends on what part of town you're staying. Some of the best little bars are tucked away in the old town down by the base of the lobster pots

We've always stayd over in the des Bergers area before and my daughters were younger so never really explored the main town properly - however they are all 'growed up' now and we're staying central this year so any tips on good little bars would be welcome Tony :D

I'd stay away from les burgers, its all a bit made to fit kind of thing with no atmosphere over there.
The old town has a rustic feel to it, you need to get down the hill a bit. There's a lovely restaurant called Edelweiss worth a night at, and just one level down for that opposite the hotel mariandre is a cracking little bar hidden away down a little side passage. Sadly I've forgotten it's name for now!!!! Ad a funky little tapas bar just along the road from the mariandre too.
All close to the bottom of the lobster pot lift.
www  New and improved me

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be at the Hotel Le Castillan. Not sure what part of town that's in, but will enjoy venturing around during the week I'm there. First time skiing France. Can't wait.

First time in France?
What made you choose adh? I've been twice and loved the skiing there.
Make sure you head up early and ski down to montfrais, especially if there's been some fresh snow.
La sarenne is a great long run, the top part is difficult though.
We have had a good full day over at signal de l'homme skiing across the valley.
Hope you enjoy it.

That hotel is in the lower old town about a min walk from the restaurants Tony mentioned.

Make sure you use the Grande Sure lift rather than the yogurt pots...much better.
