I was looking for a new fitness program this summer as I had really slacked off the last couple years. I ski hard 25 - 45 days a season, but that was my only true exercise.
I joined the local cross fit gym in July and have been going three days a week since. The workouts are a lot of squats, dead lifts, pull ups, push ups etc. I think why I liked it so much is that part of the work out is timed, and I was beating the 21 & 24 y.o. gals. I turned 50 in August. It was a real ego booster.
I am sooo looking forward to hoping on my skis in less than a month. Those moguls will feel good from day one ( or whenever the appear!! ).
If you want a fantastic program to keep you in shape, try cross fit.
I'm ready to ski - cross fit is the way to go.
