Hi all! I'm new on here. Been reading all the other posts for advice and tips for a few weeks but thought it was about time I registered.
I'm hoping for some advice on La Clusaz....
We are looking for a DIY ski trip to La Clusaz on 26th January for 2 people.
I've found cheap flights to Geneva and the lift passes are very reasonably priced.
I'm struggling to find accommodation and transfers. So far the cheapest transfers we've found is £300 return for the two of us- does that sound about right? Regarding accommodation, I was hoping for some recommendations! We would like centre of the village if possible, and would prefer self-catering rather than hotel, but we are trying to keep the price down this year! We were hoping for a max £400 for two people for the week- are we setting our expectations for price too high (or should that be too low).
I'm starting to wonder whether a package holiday would be cheaper, but as far as I know only Crystal go to La Clusaz and they are rather expensive.
Thanks for any tips and advice!

La Clusaz is a great destination, we've done several trips to the area and review it in full on our website. You'll benefit from staying somewhere in the town as the traffic can be heavy (especially at weekends) and you can either walk or use the shuttle buses to get to the main lifts.
The UK ski specialist Peak Retreats goes to La Clusaz and nearby Grand Bornand and offers a choice of good quality hotels and self-catering accommodation. They are definately worth a look.

Hi Ian,
I'm going to the La Clusaz area for the new year. I booked my accommodation through Holiday Rentals. The place Im staying is in Merdassier just up the mountain and for the period you're going it is £295 but unfortunately its booked already :(
Try the website its very good and very reasonably priced.
Good luck

Try googling gare routier in geneva, then go to Stations Alpines, there should be a regular bus and it will be cheaper.
