I know it's ridiculously early in the season, but I can't help but get a bit excited that winter is on its way and Les Arcs is currently experiencing a bit of an early season dump (as at 3.45 Weds 12 Sept).

If you look at the archive you will see that it started to rain earlier this afternoon, this turned to snow, and now it looks pretty.
And I know it will melt because the ground isn't cold enough or whatever, but IT'S SNOWING!

Excellent. I was in Florence a week ago suffering in 36 degree heat. Looking forward to some proper weather soon.

FL is back to 3950 by the weekend. Not winter yet. Anyway, locals here say "early winter = bad winter", and I am planning to ski till the first weekend of May again:)
