The Pole Position is a bright orange elasticated strap: each end attaches to a ski pole. The length is adjustable for each person's shoulder width. Its purpose is to keep both poles in the correct skiing position relative to each other. It cost me €29 excluding postage. I suppose it did stop me from waving my poles around like windmill arms, but I personally didn't get much more from it and I ended up putting it back in my pocket. It dawned on me that you could probably achieve the same effect by doing this exercise that our instructor taught us – place your poles horizontally in front of your body at waist height, and hold them at each end. This keeps your arms in position and doesn't cost a penny! Maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks Allie :D
The one I won in Admin's competition was too short for me, so I've given it to my daughter. It will be interesting to hear what she thinks of it.
I'm sorry you didn't get on too well with the strap thingy
