Anyone fancy Bansko?

Hi there.

If anyone fancys a cheap skiing holiday this coming season, then Bansko in Bulgaria might be the place.

It has brand new facilities, including a gondola, the snow is great plus it has many local bars !!

I have bought a couple of appartments in bansko, which are due for completion shortly...

Not sure when/if i will ever use them myself, as their main purpose is for investment.

I think it will be a few more years of investment before Bansko will start competing with the more established places in europe, as i don't think there is enough Piste to keep am intermediate-advance skier interested for more than a few days....

Bansko is a superb ski area. Sorry but there is more thsn enough for the advanced skier. A friend of mine is an advanced skier, goes off piste the lot and an ex instructor and he loves it.

Going back in March for the 3rd time and can't wait.

Going for xmas with all the family! Is there anything for my 75 year old mum to do in the day as she will n ot be skiing

Probably not too much in fairness but it is a real town. There is a church she could have a look round if she would be interested. They welcome visitors. Lots of restaurants to go and have lunch in. She could get a pass just for the gondola and go up and admire the scenery and there are bars and restaurants at the top of the gondola so with the right footwear she could get up the mountain. Maybe you could meet up for lunch.

All I can suggest.
