Quick heads-up for anyone flying out of the UK tomorrow.

Heathrow Airport has cancelled 30% of its flights for Sunday following a weather warning from the Met Office.

Heavy snowfall is expected in the southeast of England overnight and Heathrow said a reduced flight schedule had been agreed to minimise disruption to passengers.

A revised scheduled showing which flights will operate will be published on www.heathrow.com at 18:00hrs today.

Full report from TravelMole

Disruption is possible for all UK airports tomorrow, so check with airports and airlines before travelling.

Quick links for Gatwick and Heathrow Airports.

Jeez. One extreme to the other. Last year they tried to keep open and had thousands of people sleeping in the terminals after heavy snow, this year they cancel flights before theres even snow.

Genius.

Perhaps if they cancel all of the flights they could then have their statistics show that no flights took off late.

Having been in Florida and seen entire roads replaced within days of being obliterated by a huricane I'm ashamed to be British sometimes.
