Hi,

Just returned from a fantastic weeks skiing with family in Seefeld. I have managed to talk my wife round to letting me go to Courchevel 1850 for four nights from Feb 9th. It is three years since I've been and although it is far too expensive the skiing is the best. However one of the highlights of our 'lads' trips has been the apres ski at Bar Le Jump but I am hearing that this place has now been turned into a restaurant since some property damage a few years ago. Does this mean the bar area is no longer there and consequentely no apres ski ?? I know there are other bars but as we are not from Russia we can't afford 20 Euros a drink !!!

I don't know how recently this info was added, just had a google:

Bar Le Jump

Part of Hotel de la Croisette at the bottom of the slope and the place to be as the lifts close. Great atmosphere albeit not cheap.

Yeah thanks Nelly. I've seen that too but as you say we don't really know how that's been online. Nice of you to reply anyway.

KCAC,
Le Jump ws definitely a bar last year. I know because I was in it last year when the Ski Club of Great Britain were using it as the venue for their social hour after ski-ing. However, I've just checked, and this year they are using Le Refuge so maybe Le Jump is no longer a bar. Anyway, I'm sure Le Refuge would be fine for your apres ski :D

AllyG,

Thanks for that. Where is Le Refuge exactly ? Le Jump was so right 'cos it was 10 metres from the piste ! Anyway, we are willing to try new venues, who knows, they may be better !

KCAC,
I don't know where it is but it's in 1850, which is pretty small so it should be easy enough to find (I found Le Jump just by asking someone). I expect it's pretty central or the Ski Club of GB wouldn't be using them.

They seem to have a Facebook page (with lots of photos) so I'm sure you could find out anything you want to know. This is what they say about themselves on Facebook:

Location Courchevel 1850
About Opening night Friday 26th November from 8pm. Live music from The Tonics
Description Open daily from 16h til 02h.

Hey thanks Ally,

I'm sure we'll find it ! Sounds lively anyway so it might be our new venue !
