Are variable snow conditions good for snowboarding ?

In relation to Les Arcs at the moment? Yes... there's loads of snow, and the surface conditions are "variable"; hard-pack in places and still soft in others. It'll be good!

Mostly yes. Icy piste are hard for novice boarders, but the variable in Europe at the moment more likely means powder on piste. In powder novice snowboarders have a much easier time than novice skiers.
because I'm so inclined .....

Ok thanks that sound good just a bit worried bcuz there is no snow forecast 4 the next week there will it be ok ??

I did boarding ONCE. Never ever again!!

Hard piste, bloody hurt when I fell over.
Powder, all got stuck under the edges, hurt less when I fell over

Result? Final day got the skis back out :D

I skied for two yrs n last yr tried boarding I tink it's much beta dan skiing no offence !

In my opinion & from what I have heard from friends it is easier to go fraom boarding to skiing than vice versa. I think after you have been skiing for a long time going to boarding seems all wrong

HOWEVER

People like Trencher can do both so that puts my theory in the bin :oops:
