Does anyone have any tips for stopping me going mad with excitement?

I have a month to go and cannot think of anything else :)

Am going to try a week of paddleboarding in head high surf to start and then some messing around on motorbikes to break up the weeks but any other ideas?

Just count down the sleeps! Its no help at all but you know your ski trip is getting closer.

No help but as you say does mean it is getting closer.

If you have your own skis, you could spend hours polishing the edges to a mirror finish.
because I'm so inclined .....

Spend hours on the internet looking at resort webcams, searching for new ski wear (particlarly bobble hats), looking at you tube videos of people skiing the area you will be going to, looking at ski instruction videos and looking at any ski related videos.

You can also spend many hours on ski chat forums with other folk in the same predicament as you.

As Trencher has already mentioned you can spend a lot of time grooming any ski equipment you may have or even admiring/trying on any new ski wear.

Enjoy the excitement...You'll miss it so much when the trip is over you'll be looking for another one within days of getting back!

I got my boots out for the first time in a year at the weekend and I genuinely smiled as I remebered ho gorgeous they are (saddo)!

This will stop the excitement (but is rather cruel)

In 5 weeks you'll be back home again.

Hi Tima,
I keep myself sane by reading things on-line about the resort I'm going to, and memorizing the piste map etc. So that when I get there I know exactly whether they supply towels or not in the apartment, where the tourist information office/ski hire shop/grocery store/lift office etc. are. And I practise my French so that I can ask for what I want (had to use this skill last week telling the maintenance man in French that the toilet was leaking, the electric power socket was broken in half, and the lead for the vacuum cleaner kept whooshing back in so that I had to hoover with my foot on the cable!).

Plus, in the weeks before the ski holiday I occupy myself getting fit and trying to slim down so that I can get my ski trousers on
