I'm going to Madonna next month and would like to visit some of the other rersorts in the Skirama Dolomiti ares (such as Tonale and Folgaria-Lavarone). Can anyone advisse on the best way to get to these other resorts please? Are there lift links, or do you have to get a bus? Thanks.

Hi, to get from Passo to Madonna (and vice versa I guess) you need to get the bus, not sure about Folgaria. Make sure if you want to ski in other places besides Madonna that you get the skipass to include the other areas!

Have fun!

Forget passo your wasting your time, short runs so you spend more time on the lifts than skiing .

Four years ago we went to Folgàrida which is lift-linked to Madonna. One day a week there was a free bus (c. 45 mins) from there to Tonale and back (you had to reserve sets) so perhaps there is similar from Madonna. As Ian Wickham said though Tonale ain't a great resort once you're beyond a beginner but it was another resort to tick-off as having done.

As far as Madonna goes I'd be interested to know if the lift-link to Pinzolo is open now, pls let us know when you get back.

I can't remember if there were buses to any other resorts.

Madonna is lift linked to Folgarida and Mirabella, plenty there for a weeks skiing. I was looking at Folgarida recently but ended up with a better deal for france unfortunately, if you see what I mean.

Folgarida and Folgaria are two different resorts. FolgariDa, as noted above, is linked with Madonna. Folgaria is a about an hour and a half drive to the south and east towards Rovereto...a medium sized resort and nothing much over 2000 mtrs. The snow there has been poor but they have enough to keep all runs open and groomed. Not sure how to get there on public transpo, however. I suggest tripadvisor.com and there are experts there on that sort of thing. Madonna is beautiful and expensive. I am tryin got talk my ski buddy into going to Tonale this Saturday. What Ian W forgets to mention above is Tonale has two long lifts up either side of the town and glacier skiing. also, the resort is linked now to Ponte di Legno which is bigger. Both areas are pretty snow sure as well.

Hi Sue

Plenty of skiing in Madonna and the links to Folgarida, make sure that you don't just buy a lift pass for Madonna or you can finish up on the Folgarida lifts without the correct lift pass. Also, I understand that the link is now open from Madonna to Pinzolo (gondddala 3-stage link) so there is bags of skiing without the need to bus anywhere. Peronally, compared with France (la Plagne, Val D'Isere, etc.) I did not find Madonna expensive. Sure, there are some fashionable restaurants but you can eat and drink fairly reasonably. I think you will all love Madona. Colpam
