Has anyone has taken the day trip from Alpe d'Huez to Les Deux Alpes as use of their lifts is included in the Alpe D lift pass.
If so - how long is the bus ride form one resort to another? and what is the skiing like in LDA, is it worth a day away from Ad'H to experience another resort? Thanks for any info/tips.

And for only 65 euros it's well worth it. The amount of time you save alone is worth the charge let alone an amazing trip to through the alps.....
Go For it if you don't you will regret it for example I can't remember the resort but I think it was Valmeinier they were charging 50€ for a four minute Micro-lite ride around the mountains back in 2000, I thought it was too expensive and I have regretted it ever since.

Skied ADH couple of years ago. Once there, it never crossed my mind to want/need to go to LDA.
I suspect the benefit is the other way round. For LDA to visit ADH.
I'm going to LDA in about 12 days time and might consider a day out to ADH.
I don't know, but the bus must be over an hour. The French do love zig-zag roads. A massive cable car is what they need ;-)

if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.

I'd take this option. It's probably a once in a lifetime chance for many to ride a helicopter but better still to be taken skiingSnapzzz wrote:65 euro by helicopter, takes 4 mins

Great skiing in LDA. The Helicopter sounds like a great laugh! Is that a return price? ;-)

Bourg to LDA is about 22km from memory up a long windy road. Assume the trip down from ADH is about the same. Your total trip length in therefore going to be 90km/2 hrs of slow windy roads. Saying that, the skiing at LDA is great.
