We are flying to Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport on xmas eve, heading to les coches. We want to pick up supplies soon after we arrive, does anyone know where the closest supermarket to the airport is ?

But ...
You will pass several around Albertville, just off the road you will be on, and if that doesn't work there are more in Moutiers and your last chance is in Aime bfore you head up the hill.

Can't help with specifics, Bill (welcome to J2Ski BTW) but keep in mind that Xmas Eve is the main event in France and even the biggest hypermarkets may be shutting quite early.
See if you can find a store finder on the French websites for the various supermarket chains (Champion and Casino are fairly widespread).
