Experience....of Cervinia? None. Of Club Med? I stayed in the Roi Soleil in St Moritz last January, and we had a good experience, other than my wife becoming ill due to a pan european Club Med superbug!!! Nothing to do with the food, so they told us, although she was the only ill and the only one who had seafood cooked very quickly the night before.....hmmmm.

Anyway, good food (very good in fact), nice rooms, good facilities, and lift passes and ski schools/guiding thrown in as well. Its not cheap, but all in all for certain resorts I think its good value.

You'll pay around £1000pp for Club Med, and thats everything in, whereas a package to Cervinia would be around £600pp HB, and on to that add lunches, lift pass, drinks, so I dont think its bad at all. And you get a decent hotel which is warm with good facilities......saunas, pool, table tennis, gym, free shuttle to the lifts if its not piste side.....

Good choice, enjoy.

of cervinia again -none.. although I'm going to CM Cervinia in April, of Club Med with kids. LOADS! I took my son when he was 4 and was in Mini Club. They are completely child friendly. I am a fanatic of Club Med - having skied with them 7 times (and had the same amount of summer holidays too). What can I say .. Food always amazing.. plentiful.. Staff work very hard.. you won't need a single coin as it's all inclusive. Lessons were for guests only and either English or French (I was in Tignes mostly), Kids club start at 8.45 and they an stay all day until about 5 - where there is a break and then they can go back for the evening - not sure about your age group though. I used to take my son at 8.45 and collect him at 5 - at that age I felt it better to keep hi in -or it might be hell to get him to go back. Would take him a bag of spare clothes/goggles/sun cream and outside boots. Feel free to ask me any more.. as I say I 've done France not Italy but I"m sure the format will be the same. I think it is very reasonable considering it includes everything bar equipment. All drinks food (breakfast lunch and dinner) ski pass lessons transfer and flights! It's

Was in Cervinia last Feb but stayed in a hotel not CM. Quite a lively little town but not the prettiest I've seen. Bit of a walk upto the lift if you are not very close by, can't remember seeing CM hotel location, however there are some useful and cheap ski lockers at the top of the main cable car. Skiing is great unless the weather is bad then there is no cover from the wind and the white stuff, the lifts can be closed a fair bit if windy, that can make the bottom slopes quite busy. If you get up to the top, Plateau Rosa there is a 11km run down to Valtournenche which is spectacular.

Was in Club Med, Cervinia 2 years ago. Not cheap but everything is on hand and you are well looked after. The food is outstanding, you won't go hungry and in gourmet style. Plenty of choices for everyone.
The ski schools are well organised on the evening you arrive and the final groupings are sorted on the slopes in the morning. No walking involved, dedicated CM buses take you to the ski lift. Lunch is normally at the CM restaurant on the slopes (again great food). It's worth taking the ski schools as it's all inclusive and introduces you to new friends. The day we went over to the Zermatt side of the matterhorn was brilliant. You can ski back to the hotel although the CM buses will also pick you up from the bottom of the ski lift. Rooms and staff were excellent. All the staff even lined up to see us onto our coach at 5-6 am on the morning we departed. It's all very convenient, very international, very friendly and the staff are eagre to help and please. You should want for nothing. You may have trouble not enjoying this one! And it looks like there's plenty of snow on the way. :)

Hi we have been on a few Club Med holidays as they work out very good value, especially with children. We are considering Cervinia for next years holiday. How did yours go? How was the hotel? And most importantly how was the skiing? All other ski news re Cervinia welcome.
