Where is the snow?

It will arrive when it is good and ready ..... if you book to ski in early December then you do take a chance with the snow conditions :D
To be honest I do get a bit tired of the panic on here, the snow will come and we will have a wonderful ski season .... remember that statement.

Is it to early to start panicing about the lack of snow so far in France? I cannot remember if this is usual or not! :?:

Cheers Ian, you could get a job with the Metoffice with a forecast like that!! :D Not going until Mid Jan just a big kid though and I want it now! Green webcams are boring, so here to fingers crossed.

I've been mid December most years for the last decade or so, the closest we've come to no snow was 4 days.
Only problems we've had have been too much snow on one occasion and a strike by the pisteures on another!

Christmas and Easter - go high!
Every season is different.
Worst sking conditions I have had was Morzine in 2007!
In February! Rain, rain, right up high and green pastures lower down - but Avoriaz was good snow - the real reason this was "worst" was it was unexpected.
But I do like to see the white stuff coming down and the webcams looking interesting and people sliding around - it's all part of the excitement over a long dark winter
I am sure that most resorts will have the snow when they expect it this year.
High resorts opening early, lower ones a bit later.
We will all chear when there is a dump.
Boo when "our country" is low on snow and Austria/Switzerland/France/Spain/Poland/Slovakia/Andorra/Scotland etc etc - delete as necessary - have had a big dump.
And wonder if this year we really should have braved the long flight and jet lag and language difficulties and gone over the pond to ski.

Here's to skiing, boarding and sliding around on the snow.

I think I'm getting twitchy as each week (on this site) they forecast snow for the last 2 days of the week. Then take them away again!
