Skiing & Wellness

Hi, I'm planning a 1 week trip for my family (Me, my wife who is pregnant and our 3 year old daughter, along with 3 friends.

I'm looking for a resort that has both easy access to skiing and wellness/swimming/spa facilities.

Is there anywhere that will cater for all our needs? I saw that Söll is a possibility with good access to a large skiing area and a couple of hotels offering wellness etc.

Can anybody vouch for Söll, or suggest a better option???

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Ed. I've been looking at similar places for my 'I don't want to ski everyday' wife. I've got Bad Hofgastein right at the top of my list. Never been but hope to put that right cometh February.

If it doesn't have to be Austria, take a look at Monetier, which is one of the villages of the Serre Chevalier ski area. There is a superb spa/pool/wellness complex there.

Hinterglemm has a couple of wellness hotels, but as Coop says, Bad Hofgastein is also a good shout.

Try the Berghof in Alpendorf/St Johann. Brillian hotel - only problem is you'll have to do your own transport but only 1 hour from Salzburg. The Schwaigerhof in Rohrmoos/Schladming is also fantastic. They have a pool that connects to the indoor to the outdoor so you can swim ouside and feast your eyes on the glorious mountain views. Have fun!

A lot of the Austrian resorts have Wellness centres. They seem to go into that side of it in a big way.
St Anton has a good centre.
