Hi. I've stayed in Villenueve before but how does it compare with Chantmerle? Thinking of staying at the Plein Sud and wondered if anyone has stayed there? If so, how was it? Does it cater well for veggies? Cheers!

I prefer Villenueve to Chantmerle as it is just a nicer place and also its France they never seem to cater very well for Veggies.

Cant comment on veggie food, but I'd always choose Villeneuve for Serre Che. Better access up the mountain, lovely old village with rustic bars and restaurants.

We stayed at the Plein Sud about ten years ago and it was excellent. Food was great - our daughter is a veggie and can't remember any problems/complaints during our stay! Hotel had a swimming pool and a sauna. Shops are just round the corner and it is not far to the slopes via an underpass. I think we left our gear in the ski hire shop overnight.
We have stayed in Serre Chevalier five times altogether, once in Chantemerle, twice in Villeneuve and twice in Monetier - which is my favourite :D
