new Polar Peak lift at Fernie Alpine Resort will it be a game changer? 11/12 Fernie

I have been wanting to visit Fernie for many years. Just got an update from a friend that they are putting in a new lift this winter to the top of Polar Peak. My friend said this is a game changer and this is the year to visit Fernie Alpine Resort. His list of reasons included that this new lift will allow quicker snow control work so terrain can be open on time in big snow cycles, lift increases vertical with Fernie now having the biggest vertical in the Canadian Rockies and now more ski runs. He also noted it looks like La Nina will return with Fernie getting 37 feet in last La Nina. So with all that said- any other input? think we are leaning towards making once a winter ski trip to Fernie this winter
